What is psychotherapy?
The term derives from Greek and means “care or treatment of the soul”. This is a collective term for methods that are scientifically sound; they do not entail treatment with medication. The objective of using psychotherapy is to alleviate the suffering of a person affected with mental discomfort. To attain this goal, there are several different psychotherapeutic methods at our disposal, which can be applied individually or – as is often the case nowadays – in combination.
In my practice, I apply the following methods:
- therapeutic communication
- aromatherapy
- bodywork
- techniques for stabilization and overcoming trauma.
Depending on your personal situation and needs, different methods will be used. There is no such thing as THE therapy! Rather, you can have faith in your individual path that is suited to your needs and that we create together.
